STARTING THE SEASON IN STYLE
An absolute goal fest to christen the new kit at The Cauldron and a second half performance from the Young Men that more than matched it in style!
The Young Men started positively although Ben Cousins received a red card around the 25 minute mark. That did not stop us taking a 2-0 lead through Jake Ibbotson and a fantastic free kick from Joel Burton. SB Phoenix came back into the game and levelled things before half time through a penalty and a bullet header from short range.
Despite being down to 10 men we turned on the style in the second half. Mo Adams was pushed up into a front 2 with Joel Burton and they stole the show. Mo Adams put us a goal ahead before Man of The Match Joel Burton completed his hat-trick, one of which was a screamer from outside the box into the top corner. Mo Adams jinked is way left and right in the box before finishing and completing the rout. A late penalty got SB Phoenix their 3rd.
